Have you considered using biodegradable polymers in
If you’re like many brands that have sustainability goals or perhaps a green product line, you have likely considered the impact of your packaging.
You want to introduce efficiencies to make your film packaging run faster, flatter, thinner and with less scrap, but you don’t need to stop there. You can go even further.
Take a step back and consider the lifecycle of your packaging—from the inputs to the end of the packaging lifecycle. And thinking ahead to when your packaging is at the end of its lifecycle, you can choose a material that will degrade faster and be less harmful for the environment.
Biodegradable resins like market favourites Ecoflex® and Ecovio® offer great opportunities for more sustainable packaging. They also present some operational differences so that you need to make sure you are working with them to adjust from conventional packaging.
